FAQs & Policies 💭

How should I prepare for my permanent makeup appointment?

  • no caffeine or alcohol 24 hours before – i know, i know BUT they can thin your blood and make you more sensitive.

  • avoid ibuprofen, aspirin, or other blood thinners for 24-48 hours before (unless prescribed by your doc).

  • no Botox or filler 2 weeks before or after your appointment – timing is everything, and we don’t want things shifting around.

  • no retinol, acids, or exfoliants near the area for at least 7 days – we want your skin calm, not spicy.

  • don’t wax, tint, or do anything wild to your brows/lips the week of your appointment. I’ll handle everything!

  • stay hydrated and moisturized – healthy skin = better results.

  • skip the gym the day of – sweat and freshly tattooed skin don’t mix well.

  • reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns — I’m here to ease your mind!

  • IMPORTANT if you’re getting lip blush:

if you’ve ever had a cold sore (even just one time), you must get a prescription antiviral (like Valtrex) from your doctor and start taking it at least 1 week prior to your appointment. Lip blush can trigger an outbreak, and we don’t want anything messing with your healing!

What would prevent me from getting permanent makeup?

  • you’re pregnant or breastfeeding – your body is doing enough already! come see me after baby!

  • you’re under 18 – even with parental consent, i legally can’t perform PMU on minors.

  • you’re on accutane or have taken it within the past 6-12 months – it thins the skin and affects healing big time.

  • active cold sores or skin infections – we need the area fully healed before we can work on it.

  • if you’ve had Botox or filler in the treatment area within the last 2 weeks – we need everything settled before tattooing.

  • blood disorders, uncontrolled diabetes, or other medical conditions that affect healing or blood clotting – always consult with your doctor first!

  • if you’re prone to keloids or hypertrophic scarring – PMU might not be a safe option for you.

  • if you’re currently sunburned, healing from a peel, or had laser recently – your skin needs to be calm, not crispy!

How long is the healing process?

for brows:

  • days 1–3: they’ll look bold, sharp, and defined – don’t panic, this is part of the magic!

  • days 4–10: you’ll start seeing flaking and peeling. it might feel itchy or patchy, but don’t pick!!

  • week 2–4: things might look too light or uneven – this is the ghost phase — totally normal.

  • week 6: you’re fully healed and ready for your perfecting session (aka your touch-up)!

for lip blush:

  • days 1–3: your lips will look bright + juicy – a little swollen or tight at first.

  • days 4–7: mild flaking or peeling happens. lips usually flake for a few days, not as long as brows.

  • week 2–3: color softens and settles into its final shade.

  • week 6: you’re fully healed and ready for your touch-up, if needed!

everybody heals a little differently depending on your skin, immune system, and how well you follow aftercare. don’t worry – i’ll walk you through all of it and send you home with aftercare instructions (and moral support 🫶)

Do you offer payment plans?

yes I do! i know permanent makeup is quite the investment, and i want it to be as stress-free and accessible as possible for you!

payment plans are available and can be customized based on what you need. you’ll pay a deposit to secure your appointment, and the rest can be split into smaller, manageable payments.

if you’re interested in setting one up, just reach out to me directly before booking – i’ll walk you through everything and help you find the best option for you! (954)292-8360

Please know that when you book an appointment, that time is reserved exclusively for you. When you cancel or reschedule your appointment last minute, I lose the opportunity to fill your spot and another client loses the opportunity to receive a service. While I will make every effort to accommodate late arrivals, if you are more than 10 minutes late, your service may need to be rescheduled and you will be required to pay a cancellation fee. Please text me as soon as possible if you know you will be late to your appointment.

All deposits, services, and product sales are final.
